Activities

Comet Club

Thursdays after school students of all ages can get some homework help from peers and use their brains to play fun games, practice engineering skills, or build problem solving skills, in a fun and inclusive environment. The Comet Club also has computer access for students that need help with digital assignments or projects.

Open to all grades.

Junior Librarians

Our Junior Librarians learn library science skills to help out our librarian and other students in the school. Our Junior Librarians learn how to check in/out books, catalog, book jacket, and how to use the Dewey Decimal system. 

5th -8th Grade

Builder's Club

The Builder's Club is run by Mrs. Ost and Ms. Hunter Members of the Builder's Club raise money for local charities, volunteer around the school, and put on different school events.

Open to grades 6 - 8

Speech Team

Coached by Miss Costa, the Kings Speech Team practices to compete at a middle school speech meet where they get to show off their speech skills in various performance categories, such as duets, prose reading, impromptu, and radio.  

Speech Team is open to 5th - 8th grade students.

Yearbook Commitee

Led by Mr. Hickman, our yearbook committee is creating a fantastic yearbook full of memories and fun times from this year at Kings.  

6th - 8th Grade

Chess Club

Kings School offers students in grades 3-8 the opportunity to learn and practice chess after school. Students meet in practice sessions to play games against each other.  Students participate in an annual chess meet at Eswood in April.  There is a slight fee for the Chess tournament and for t-shirts.  Miss Greene is the sponsor.
