In March third graders enjoyed reading Flat Stanley in a readers’ theater format. Learning of all the adventures this little guy had after being flatten by a bulletin board, we decided we’d made our own Flat Stanley and send him out into the world (that is family and friends) to learn what new adventures awaited him. In April, the Flat Stanleys began coming back with journals, notes, pictures, scrapbooks, and albums. He went to far away places such as Austria, New Zealand, Germany, Australia to close to home destination such as the Rochelle Hospital suffering from a broken leg.
In May we had an Open House for Stanley and invited all the students to see and hear Stanley’s adventures. Check out our pictures!
