Minutes for the December 7, 2009 meeting:
Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 5:34 pm by Ralph Prindle. Present were Ralph Prindle, Kim Knight, Susan Hunter, Shawn Higgs, and Carol Hayenga.
Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting on November 16th were reviewed and discussed. A motion was made by Ralph Prindle to accept the Minutes as read and seconded by Carol Hayenga. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer’s report was read and discussed. A motion was made by Shawn Higgs and seconded by Kim Knight to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented. The motion passed. Beginning balance as of 9/1/09 was $3,373.84 with the ending balance as of 12/7/09 of $2,848.89.
Staff Requests: Susan Hunter made a request of $2 per child for a total of $48 for a field trip to Sinnissippi Tree Farm for the Kindergarten and 1st grade. A motion to accept the request was made by Ralph Prindle and seconded by Carol Hayenga. The motion passed.
Unfinished Business:
1. Mrs. Roberts is in need of volunteers for the basketball conference
concessions for December 15, 16, and 17.
2. Movie night will be held in February.
New Business:
1. The school is looking into possibly using the Rosetta Stone Spanish
program. More information will be looked at during the January
meeting.
2. NAEIR prizes are being bought for the Fun Fair next year.
Announcements:
1. Next Market Day pickup is Friday, December 11th between 3:00 and
4:15 p.m.
2. Next Community Club meeting is January 11th at 5:30.

Minutes for the January 9th, 2012 meeting:
Call to order: The meeting was called to order by Vice-president Shawn Higgs at 5:37 PM. Present were Shawn Higgs, Marg Danek, Greg Stott, and Belinda Luxton.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the previous meeting were read by Higgs. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Stott and seconded by Danek. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s Report was read by Higgs. The full report is kept on file and the highlights are:
Beginning balance 11/2/11 $1,900.99
Ending balance 1/9/12 $1,985.92
A motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read was made by Higgs and seconded by Stott. Motion passed.
Staff Requests:
A request was made by Grades K-4 for $3.00 per student for a field trip to the Wizard of Oz play. (47 students = $141.00) A request was also made by Belinda Luxton to cover the cost of breakfast for students with perfect attendance and/or on the honor roll for 2nd quarter.
A motion to approve the staff requests was made by Higgs and seconded by Danek. Motion passed.
Old Business:
The Shopping Day in December did not happen. Staff did not seem interested.
New Business:
Mr. Stott asked if Community Club would be willing to pay Jim Kanas something for a music assembly Jim volunteered to put on for the students. The amount of $75 was agreed upon.
Movie night was briefly discussed. Mr. Stott agreed to provide pop for the event. Higgs will speak with Peg Thompson to try to find a date that works and decide on a movie; possibly Dolphin Tale or Puss in Boots.
Mr. Stott brought up moving meetings to 3:30 PM as it seems that most people that attend could make it at this time.
We will need to get roses for 8th grade girls at the last basketball gaime on February 9th.
Next Meeting: Our next meeting will be held on February 6, 2012 at 3:30 pm. in the Kings School library.
